The Party

We celebrated Hadley's 3rd birthday on March 15 this year, because her actual birthday was on a Sunday. John's dad was out of town on that day, and my family is always busy Sundays, so Friday just worked best. John spent the morning golfing with his dad and grandpa, and I spent the morning playing with my girl at the park. When John got home, we went to get some things for the party, and then headed to Julie's to set up. (Thank you Julie and Mario for always opening your home to us for her birthday parties)
This year, like last, we kept the party very low key. We just wanted to be able to spend time with our family and some very close friends. This year I made a point of taking a picture of Hadley with each person at her party (except somehow managed to miss my dad and Uncle Arnold). So here are some pictures from her special day.

Playing in Nanny's yard before we left for the party.

My Baby Turned 3

It's true, my teeny tiny baby is now 3. We had such a good day :)
We went to the zoo for the day and had so much fun.
It was different than it's even been before,
she was interested in all of the animals, she was able to say what each animal was,
and associate it with books and movies.

So much fun.
I cannot believe this sweet little girl is already 3.

Hadley's Room

A friend of mine was posting pictures of her new place on instagram, and I realized I haven't really done anything like that. I feel like I don't really love the place we live, and it doesn't feel like my own (because it isn't) so I haven't cared to really decorate and document it. However, I do want to remember Hadley's cute little room, so this is more for my own record than anything else. This was taken from the door starting on the left.

And the nice little heater and humidifier are not on at the same time... We typically just use the heater, but the wee one is sick right now so warm air humidifier it is!

Just Pictures

Here are some pictures, that I don't really have anything substantial to say about, but were too cute not to post.

"Mommy look at my funny face!"
"mommy take a picture, im stirring." (Glad she is finally asking for pictures instead of fighting me :)
Hadley and daddy ready for some golf.
Just a picture of us in out stripes :)

Lucky Ducks

A few days ago Debbie invited Hadley and I to go feed the ducks at a nearby park. After so many months trapped inside, it was a nice change to be out in the sun, where we pretended like it was warm. Really it was about 40, but the sun was out so we went with it. The girls had a great time throwing small pieces entire slices of bread to those ducks. Luckily there was a little fence up so no one was mauled by attack ducks. The girls had a great time, and Debbie and I got some adult interaction. We had a so much fun, and now for the fun part, pictures of the cute kids.

Hadley loved the slides

and the swings

These girls always have so much fun together.
